Greetings! I’m James Louis Ramsey, PhD. As a committed educator and practitioner, at the elementary, secondary, and postsecondary level, including graduate and professional school, I’ve devoted my life to helping hundreds of students achieve academic and professional success. My professional credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in History and Government and Secondary Education, and Masters’ and Doctoral degrees in Educational Culture, Policy, and Society. I could not dream of a better way to exercise my love for, knowledge of, and commitment to diverse learners of all ages. Among my most popular workshops is “Critical Thinking Inside and Outside the Classroom.” That’s how AJR Pro Services came into existence in August 2021.
The key to success for students and all those involved in the learning process is preparation. Learning takes place inside and outside of the classroom. Unfortunately, I’ve seen far too many people fail because they lacked basic student and academic study skills. Who hasn’t read about students who underachieve because they lack the targeted support more successful students use to learn to take good notes, actively participate in class, and perform better on tests and other assignments. With the increasingly competitive market for high-paying jobs and careers, I’ve been inspired to share my expertise with everyone seeking to reach their full potential by improving their academic preparation and performance.

I have an extensive background advising students about the college application process, financial aid, choosing majors, and career exploration. I take particular pleasure in helping underprepared students from diverse backgrounds, as well as more advantaged students and learners at every stage of their educational journey.
